Northcrest is not a franchise and not a lead-generation brand. It is a working general contractor with two crews, a warehouse in North Charlotte, and a project manager who answers his phone.
FIG. A — NORTH CHARLOTTECrew B on a residential tear-off, 2025
Most of the exterior work we get called to fix was done in a hurry. Not maliciously — just fast. A crew that gets paid by the square has no incentive to stop and check whether the sheathing behind a panel is still doing its job. So they lap the new cladding over the old, run a bead of caulk down the seam, and move to the next address. Six months later a homeowner notices a soft spot near the corner, and the story starts over.
We do the opposite. Before any new material comes off the truck, we pull enough of the existing cladding to see what is actually underneath. Sometimes that means a longer estimate and a longer week on site. Sometimes it means finding rot that another contractor hid. Either way, we would rather have the conversation early than paper over it and hope.
“We are not the cheapest bid on the street. We are the one you do not have to call back in two years.”
That principle is the reason our workmanship warranty runs twelve years instead of the two-year industry norm, and the reason we still register every manufacturer warranty in the homeowner's name rather than ours. If we install it wrong, we pay for it. If the material fails, you have the paper to prove it should not have.
We stay busy on repeat business — past clients, real estate agents who have seen our work, and property managers who need a crew that shows up when it says it will. We have never spent a dollar on radio, TV, or a billboard. Every job we take is a referral from the last one.
SECTION 02 / TIMELINE
How we got here.
A short history of the company, from a single truck to two full-time installation crews and a service division.
2012
Two men, one truck
Northcrest opens in a rented bay off Statesville Avenue. First year revenue: $218,000. First crew: two installers plus the owner.
2016
Second crew & fiber cement
Added a dedicated installation crew and became a certified installer for fiber cement systems. Started documenting every project photo for warranty files.
2020
Storm response program
Formalized insurance-claim documentation after a record hail season. Introduced the 12-year workmanship warranty and standalone service crew for repairs.
2026
Two crews, forty homes a year
Twelve full-time employees. 2,400+ completed facades. Same warehouse on Statesville Avenue, same project managers on the phone.
SECTION 03 / LEADERSHIP
Who you will work with.
Every project gets one of these three as its project manager. You will have their direct line from the estimate through the final walkthrough.

SECTION 04 / PRINCIPLES
Four rules we do not bend.
These are the operating standards every crew member signs onto in their first week. They are also the reasons a Northcrest estimate looks different from a competitor's.
01
Open the wall first
Before we quote a repair or replacement, we pull enough cladding to see the substrate. If we find rot, you hear about it before the work order is signed — not after.
02
Itemize every line
Materials, labor, disposal, permit fees — all on separate lines. If a line grows, you get a written change order. No line item is ever “adjustable.”
03
One crew, start to finish
The crew that tears off is the crew that sets the final trim. We do not hand your project to a different subcontractor halfway through to save on mobilization.
04
Warranty in your name
Manufacturer warranties are registered to the property owner, not to us. If we ever close the doors, your coverage does not go anywhere.
SECTION 05 / CREDENTIALS
Licenses, insurance, and paperwork.
Everything below is on file with the state and available on request. We do not use “licensed and insured” as a slogan — it is a specific set of documents.
